How much walking do I need to do?
We want you to increase your activity, but at your own pace. Your goal is to be active every day. The nationally recommended daily activity for healthy adults is 150 minutes (2½ hours) each week*. That's a bare minimum, but do what you can. Some days your activity may be longer than others. It all counts!
Break your time up into chunks of 10 min, so it’s easy to fit into a busy day.
How many steps are in a mile?
We are calculating that 2,000 steps are equivalent to one mile. Everyone’s stride is different so this is just an average.
Don’t have a fitness tracker?
You can simply use one of the free apps to track activity. Many smartphones already have free apps pre-installed on the phone to track steps, such as Apple Health for iPhone users and Samsung Health for Samsung users.
Quick Tip:
If you connect more than one tracker or app to Countit; steps can be measured more accurately, added to the leaderboard with each step.
Example:
Synching our Fitbit and Apple Health to Count.it will speed up your connection. No waiting for your Fitbit to update your progress because Apple Health will automatically update your steps on Count.it.
You can add your devices under the Countit tab for the count tracker.
